We're on our way back to Salcedo, Dominican Republic! Today, August 9, 2011, we received notice from The Rotary Foundation that our new Matching Grant #75507 request was just approved yesterday. This project is to equip a foster home and orphanage including a new tubewell with water pump. The project will contribute to the educational development and living conditions of about 30 orphans and foster children at the Virgin of Loudres Home, Conuco, Salcedo, Dominican Republic. Hosted by the Club Rotario Salcedo, District 4060, the project will be in partnership with the Rotary Club of Scott Valley, International Sponsor, Northern California and Co-Sponsor Rotary Clubs of Myrtle Point, Oregon, and Eugene Metropolitan of Oregon, all 3 Clubs of District 5110.
