On Friday, December 5, 2008, the signed Letter of Agreement & Understanding together with a District WCS check for $4,885 of contributing funds from 10 Rotary Clubs in District 5110 was mailed to The Rotary Foundation headquarters in Evanston, Illinois.
The Rotary Club of Salcedo, Dominican Republic, D4060, had forwarded their contribution earlier. The documents & check were delivered to The Rotary Foundation in Evanston, Illinois, on December 11, 2008. We can hopefully expect funding of our new project within 30 days to equip a computer lab for the public high school of the rural area of San Jose de Conuco near the City of Salcedo in the Dominican Republic. The funds will be wired to the Club Rotario Salcedo, Host Club.
